Recruiters are a bit like adrenaline junkies. They’re constantly running on some combination of caffeine, adrenaline, and endorphins. The rush of finding the perfect candidate or booking an interview is addicting. The anticipation of an offer made and your candidate accepting an offer is intoxicating. And that commission check? Oh yeah! All it takes is one line of success and recruiters are hooked. Recruitment is an outlet for many recruiters to make a difference in the world by impacting one life at a time, and that’s pretty cool.
There are multiple ways to connect with “good” insurance professionals and activity results in success. If you make a plan to DAILY follow a schedule without fail, that activity will begin to create results.
One of the things that distinguishes great recruiters from good ones is the ability to crush an interview. When you can put a candidate at ease, create a smooth conversational flow, and elicit important information, you’re one step closer to matching a candidate to the perfect role.
Search
The search for “the perfect role” for your recruited candidate is crucial. However if you have gathered the correct information, your chances of success outnumbers the best.
The Negotiation
As an advocate for BOTH your client and candidate; you work with both sides to find a win/win. As a skilled negotiator, you would manage expectations prior to and during a negotiation in order to create a true win-win outcome.
The Close
If you are a salesperson, you already know this feeling; that one of shaking hands when your client presents and offer and it is accepted by your candidate. It’s a feeling of well-being and you know what comes next.
What would make you a success story?
A background in the insurance industry (but not mandatory). You must be a hunter, inquisitive, unafraid to ask questions, the ability to “write”, the willingness to “learn”, a team player who understands that their team’s success is their own success AND lastly, you have a natural passion to be competitive and be the best.
