Orientation

A program designed to provide new employees with complete and uniform information about the firm, its organization, mission, functions and policies, compensation, benefits, services, work requirements, standards, rules, safe work habits, and desirable employee-management relations.  The objective is to develop confident, loyal, effective, and productive workers and to reduce the likelihood of rule violations, accidents and injuries, discharges, resignations, and grievances.  Orientation programs are offered to people following initial hire, transfer, and promotion.
